Submerged Entry Nozzle

Submerged Entry Nozzle Introduction:
Based on function, our submerged entry nozzles are classified into plug-in type, hanging type and fast renewal type. On basis of material quality, nozzles are mainly classified into aluminum carbon, zirconium carbon and magnesia carbon. 

With the improvement of the level of casting, especially special steel casting, quartz submerged entry nozzle can not meet requirement of casting life and steel quality. Therefore, aluminum carbon and aluminum carbon-zirconium carbon combined submerged entry nozzles came out. Compared to quartz submerged entry nozzle, this nozzle is of much longer service life.

Submerged Entry Nozzle Advantages:
Submerged entry nozzle enjoys performances of purifying liquid steel, prevent liquid steel oxidation, with good liquid steel wasing resistance and erosion resistance.

Continuous casting requires its functional refractories (submerged entry nozzle, monoblock stopper, Aluminum Carbon long nozzle) to have good thermal shock resistance, resistance to synthetic slag corrosion, corrosion resistance to molten steel, and suitable high temperature strength.
The requirements for submerged entry nozzle have the following parts:

1.Excellent thermal shock resistance

2.Good corrosion resistance to crystallizer

3.Good corrosion resistance to molten steel, especially the inner hole, which must be resistant to molten steel erosion and chemical corrosion

4.Good anti-blocking performance

5.Good high temperature resistance strength
