Non oxide bonded corundum purging plug

Non oxide has the advantages of high temperature strength, good thermal shock resistance, and difficult to be wetted by metal melt and slag. The corundum silicon nitride porous brick is made by introducing metal silicon into corundum silicon nitride material and adopting the transitional plastic phase process. Its slag iron wettability is poor, the working face does not form slag in use, and its slag iron corrosion resistance and blowing rate are better than those of corundum spinel, chrome corundum and corundum mullite porous bricks.


The SiAlON bonded corundum purging plug was prepared by taking tabular corundum as aggregate, and the main matrix components are micro powder, Si powder, etc., using vibration casting molding method, adding a small amount of sintering aid, and nitriding firing at 1450 ℃, which has the characteristics of high strength, excellent thermal shock resistance and slag resistance. When the mass fraction of Si powder is 9.5% - 11.5%, the strength retention rate after thermal shock is high and the comprehensive properties are good.


SiAlON bonded corundum castable was prepared by in-situ nitridation reaction. With the increase of SiAlON content, the amount of water required for molding increases. The strength and bulk density of SiAlON bonded corundum castable at room temperature decreased, the apparent porosity slightly increased, and the linear change rate from micro shrinkage to micro expansion. With the increase of SiAlON content, the thermal shock resistance of the material is significantly improved.
