6 precautions to prevent blast furnace burn-through accidents
3.Precautions in daily maintenance operation

(1) There should be planned elimination of harmful elements enriched in the internal circulation of the blast furnace. The analysis of the residual components of the furnace through the blast furnace hearth shows that the content of harmful elements is generally high. In particular, blast furnaces lacking the means for inspecting the raw fuel of the furnace must be paid attention to.

(2) Avoid leakage of cooling equipment into the furnace. The amount of water in the cooling system should be maintained within a reasonable range. In daily production, pay attention to testing whether there is any leakage of cooling equipment into the blast furnace. Pay special attention to the detection of high-pressure water in the tuyere and the circulating water system in the blast furnace hearth cooling wall. As soon as water leakage is found in the cooling system, it should be treated immediately, and the cooling equipment with hidden dangers should be replaced immediately.

(3) Maintain the carbon bricks in the hearth around the iron mouth, reduce the occurrence of iron mouth splashing in normal production, and ensure that the iron mouth has sufficient depth. Experience has shown that it is more appropriate to control the depth of the iron mouth to about 600 ~ 800mm in the furnace.

(4) Never blindly pursue high-intensity smelting or high utilization factor. In the initial stage of blast furnace air supply, the formation of a reasonable smelting furnace type should be the first task. It is not possible to blindly pursue the speed of production, but the speed is not reached, which will adversely affect the long life of the blast furnace. Experience has shown that cast iron should be smelted for 10 to 20 days. The graphite carbon produced by this method can block some of the brick joints, which has a significant effect on extending the life of the hearth. Blast furnaces with a life span of more than 15 years in foreign countries do not all have an average utilization factor of one generation of furnace service exceeding 2.3t / (m3 · d). After the end of the first generation of furnace age, the comprehensive account is calculated. The advantages of the long-life blast furnace are obvious. It not only reduces the investment in intermediate repair and accident handling operations, but also achieves the goal of low-carbon smelting. The comprehensive cost is bound to be lower.

(5) The vanadium-titanium ore protection furnace has been produced for many years at home and abroad, and it has been proved that adding the vanadium-titanium ore protection furnace can effectively control the rising trend of ring carbon temperature. After one year of production, one year or so of the vanadium-titanium ore protection furnace has been selected. After that, the vanadium-titanium ore furnace protection smelting process is performed once a year. The amount of pig iron should be selected to be greater than 0.10%. At the same time, the [Si] content should be as high as possible, and it should be kept above 0.5%.

(6) Carefully press the hearth

The timing and method of adopting the hearth grouting should be cautious. If the control is not good, it will be detrimental to the life of the hearth. The best option is to strictly control the quality of the furnace and avoid or reduce the generation of furnace slurry.
