The operation of refractory industry in the first quarter of 2022 is not optimistic

According to the statistics of China National refractory Association, the national refractory output data from January to February decreased by about 8.1%, the output of key statistical enterprises in February decreased by 10.14%, and the industrial output data of the industry in March are still under statistics. The output decreased from January to February, mainly due to environmental control in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Henan, which forced many refractory enterprises to stop production. The shutdown of the enterprise also leads to the failure of the refractory products enterprises to deliver on time, and the execution of some orders also leads to the current tight production and delivery. In the survey conducted by the association at the end of February and early March, the workshop production tasks of key enterprises were generally full at that time, giving people the feeling that although the "efficiency" was not very good, the "capacity" was OK! However, by the end of March, great changes had taken place in this situation. Some enterprises were under pressure for orders, and the output decreased accordingly. The rise of raw material prices in the refractory industry in 2021 did not form a good cost transmission mechanism at that time, resulting in a sharp decline in the operating profit of the whole industry in the fourth quarter of 2021 and a strong "sequela" to the operation of the industry in the first quarter of 2022. Now the industry output has shrunk, the product sales price is depressed, and the cost has risen, especially the rise of natural gas price, which has brought greater cost pressure. The operating efficiency of the enterprise is not as good as that of the same period last year. At this stage, due to the epidemic situation, the logistics cost has also increased significantly.
