Introduction of magnesia carbon brick and aluminum magnesium carbon brick
Carbon brick is the main type of non - fired alkaline refractory. Adding a certain amount of graphite into alkaline refractory materials is beneficial to improve the corrosion resistance and slag penetration resistance of the products.
Raw materials and process: sintered magnesia, electrofused magnesia and carbon materials (mainly graphite with complete crystallization) as raw materials, with resin as binder forming, heat treatment at appropriate temperature. Add antioxidants as needed.
Characteristics: Magnesia carbon brick at high temperature to form a carbon skeleton when used, because magnesia and carbon do not produce mutual solubility relationship, so retain the original components of excellent fire resistance. Due to the high thermal conductivity of carbon, low coefficient of thermal expansion and elasticity, it can effectively prevent high temperature spalling and slag penetration, which improves the defect of structural spalling caused by slag penetration of magnesite refractory. Because of the non-wettability of carbon to slag, magnesia-carbon brick has higher corrosion resistance.
Application: It is used in steelmaking converter, arc furnace, steel bucket, refining and other thermal devices.
Raw materials and process: made of alumina clinker, fused corundum, fused magnesia and graphite.
Properties: Aluminum-magnesium carbon brick has appropriate residual expansion, low thermal conductivity, better thermal insulation than magnesia-carbon brick. There are more magnesia in the ingredients of magnesia carbon brick. The slag resistance and heat preservation are between magnesia carbon brick and magnesia carbon brick.
Application: for ladle slag line, lower ladle wall, bottom and free part.
