Application of EAF bottom ramming mass

1) Ramming in layers, the thickness of each layer is 120mm-150mm, and the last layer is 100 mm.

2) The
ramming material shall be evenly applied to the auxiliary layer on the permanent lining, and the air pick or electric vibrator shall be used to repeatedly tamp the material to the specified thickness from the periphery to the center. In order to prevent dust, rubber sheet, gunny bag or canvas can be used to cover the material and tamp. The quality of knotting can be tested by using a steel bar (φ 4mm) prepared in advance and pressed with a pressure equivalent to 0.1MPa, and the insertion depth should not exceed 30mm.

3) The thickness of the spherical part of the furnace slope is half of the total thickness, which is divided into two layers.

4) The
ramming of the furnace slope needs to use the matching template and tie the knot in two sections.

5) The bottom and slope of furnace shall be covered with 4mm-5mm steel plate after tamping.
