The effect of LF refining

The LF treated steel can reach a very high level of quality.
1. Desulfurization rate can reach 50%, and steel with sulfur content ≤0.01% can be produced. If the treatment time is sufficient, it can even reach the level of sulfur content ≤ 0.005%.
2. High-purity steel can be produced, the total amount of inclusions in the steel can be reduced by 50%, and almost all large-particle inclusions can be removed; the oxygen content in the steel can reach 10-30ppm.
3. The composition control accuracy is high, and it can produce steel with a narrow range of elements such as C±0.01%, Si±0.02%, Mn±0.02%.
