Cause analysis and problem solving measures of transverse crack of tundish working lining
Tundish can be used as a molten steel refining container in metallurgical process, besides having the functions of effectively allocating molten steel, stabilizing injection flow and protecting continuous casting. Metallurgy can effectively prevent secondary oxidation of molten steel, prevent slag entrapment, promote inclusion floating and accurately control superheat of molten steel. Therefore, it is one of the important guarantees for continuous casting of molten steel to analyze the problems in tundish accurately and quickly .
Under the current production conditions, the average service life of tundish in continuous casting production is 11h or 17 heats. Due to the influence of stainless steel isolating agent, the difference of dry materials composition, the high baking temperature and the combination between dry materials, the carbon-free tundish and ordinary tundish of stainless steel have different degrees of transverse cracks.
In view of the transverse joint problems in different degrees in some tundish , the construction measures are put forward to stabilize the construction quality of tundish  and ensure the safety of production .

Specific construction measures are as follows:

(1) During the construction preparation stage, use temperature measuring gun to measure the permanent lining and tire surface of tundish to ensure its temperature is below 100℃, clean up the sundries on the tire surface, and evenly coat it with 2 ~ 3 mm graphite emulsion.
(2) After pouring the dry material and before the motor vibrates, use a crowbar to insert it into the working lining of the dry material with a depth of about 500mm, and shake it from side to side or back and forth, so that the cladding material and slag line material can be combined more densely.
(3) After baking and stopping the fire, the tundish dry material will be naturally cooled for more than 3 hours. Only when the temperature of the ladle is below 100℃ and the gap between the ladle and the dry material is 1 ~ 2 mm can the ladle be removed; In addition, the cooling time can be prolonged as much as possible, and the shortened baking time can be added to the cooling of dry materials, so that the construction progress is not affected and the construction quality is ensured.
(4) When the tundish is blown out, it is necessary to ensure that the ladle tire is lifted vertically and slowly, so as to prevent the occurrence of transverse joints caused by the application of external force to the working lining due to the deflection of the ladle tire.
