What kind of ramming material should be used for the lining of induction furnace

The selection of ramming materials for the lining of the induction furnace depends on the atmosphere in the furnace, because the lining atmosphere of the induction furnace is divided into neutral, acidic, alkaline and composite, and there are core induction and coreless induction furnaces.

Generally, the acidic furnace lining material is made of high-purity microcrystalline quartz sand and powder, and is a dry vibrating material mixed with high-temperature sintering agent and mineralizing agent. The particle size must be strictly controlled during the production process, and the amount of sintering agent must be controlled during construction. To ensure that a dense furnace lining can be obtained even when knotted. There are not too many furnaces with acidic furnace linings. The ramming materials used for acidic furnace linings are not used frequently and are replaced frequently, so the dosage is relatively large.

Neutral furnace lining material is a dry knotted material mixed with corundum sand and powder, aluminum magnesium spinel powder and sintering agent. This kind of ramming material has strong density, good thermal shock stability and even knotted furnace lining.

If it is an alkaline furnace lining, magnesium dry ramming materials with good thermal shock stability, volume stability and high high-temperature strength should be selected, because the backing must have a certain loose layer during use. In general, there are many types of furnaces with coreless furnace linings in alkaline atmosphere. The magnesia ramming material has a high density and the furnace lining heats up evenly and quickly. There are also induction stoves with cores, but they are few and far between.

According to the usage conditions, there are more alkaline furnace linings in recent years, and most of them are coreless induction furnaces. The magnesia dry ramming materials used in furnace linings have also changed to varying degrees. In recent years, more aluminum-magnesium ramming materials have been used, because the skyrocketing price of magnesia is a factor, but the most important thing is aluminum-magnesium ramming materials. It has good thermal shock stability and is suitable for intermittent shutdowns and temperature fluctuations. Another feature is that because the alkaline furnace lining is a steel shell furnace, the aluminum-magnesia ramming material heats up quickly and saves electricity.

However, the quality of aluminum-magnesium ramming materials varies in price according to the requirements of the number of heats used. If the number of heats exceeds 100, the price will be relatively high. If the number of heats is less than 70, the price will be relatively cheap. Of course, aluminum The quality of magnesium ramming materials is determined according to the number of heats required by users.
