High Alumina Brick

High alumina bricks introduction:

High alumina bricks are refractory products of aluminum silicate or alumina with Al2O3 content greater than 48%. High alumina bricks are mainly used for laying blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, electric furnace tops, blast furnaces, reverberatory furnaces, and rotary kiln linings. High alumina bricks can be said to be one of the most widely used refractory bricks in the refractory industry.

High alumina bricks are mainly divided into ordinary high alumina bricks and modified high alumina bricks. Ordinary high alumina bricks refer to commonly used standard fired bricks, while modified high alumina bricks mainly refer to: high load soft high alumina bricks, micro-expansion high alumina bricks, low creep high alumina bricks and phosphate bonded high alumina bricks.

High alumina bricks advantages:
The high alumina brick has high density, low porosity, high mechanical strength and wear resistance, high softness of load, and good slag resistance.

High Alumina Bricks Application:

Lightweight high-alumina bricks are currently one of the ideal heat-insulating refractory materials. They have the characteristics of high compressive strength, low thermal conductivity, good insulation performance and low price. They are now widely used in Taoist kilns and roller conveyors. Kilns, shuttle kilns, and wall kilns are not used in various heating furnaces, coke ovens and other thermal equipment in the steel industry to heat treat lining materials.

Lightweight high alumina bricks are also called high alumina insulation bricks. A lightweight refractory material with an alumina content of more than 48%, mainly composed of mullite and glass phase or corundum. The bulk density is 0.4-1.cm3, the Confucius Institute rate is 66%-73%, and the compressive strength is 1-8MPa. Usually, a small amount of clay is added to the high-alumina bauxite material, after grinding, it is poured into mud by the gas production method or foam method, and then fired at 1550-1600°C. Sometimes industrial alumina can be used to replace part of the bauxite treatment. It is used in the inner and warm layers of masonry kilns, and the parts that are not strongly eroded and eroded by high-temperature molten materials. When in direct contact with the flame, the surface contact temperature should not be higher than 1400°C.
