Mixing steps of ladle castables:

1. The forced mixer shall be used for mixing, and packaging bags, rope ends and other sundries shall not be mixed during mixing, which will affect the pouring effect and service performance.

2. The mixing depends on the unpacking of the castables at the site, and the mixing amount depends on the capacity of the mixer. The castables shall be accurately measured and poured into the mixer.

3. The process of dry mixing followed by wet mixing is required. After the castables are added to the mixer, dry mixing for 2 minutes, adding about 5.2~5.5% water, adding water while mixing, adding 80% of the total amount first, and then adding it as appropriate according to the consistency of the mixture (and note that the mixing water must be clean tap water, not sewage), wet mixing for 4 minutes, and mixing at one time shall not be less than 6 minutes, until the castables are uniform and the surface is suffused with slurry, and then discharging, generally speaking, The bottom of the package is slightly dry, and the wall is slightly thinner (the water added above is the reference value).

4. During mixing, water consumption and mixing time shall be strictly controlled to ensure the consistency required for construction. Too thin refractory castables will seriously affect the performance and quality of materials. The mixing volume, mixing time and water amount shall be uniform and uniform, and shall not be thick or thin. If it is found that the consistency of the mixing material does not meet the requirements, it is necessary to return to the mixer and add water or dry materials for mixing. It is strictly prohibited to add water temporarily during pouring.

5. The evenly mixed material shall be poured within 20 minutes to avoid the inconvenience of pouring due to long-term hardening and affecting the structural strength of ladle lining.

6. The mixer shall be cleaned after each construction of refractory castables or when the castables are changed.

7. It is strictly forbidden to stop the mixing operation in the middle, and put the materials that have started to be mixed in the mixer. If the mixer breaks down during the operation, if it can be repaired in a short time, it is necessary to remove a part of the materials before starting the machine, and then put this part of the materials into operation after starting the machine. If it can be repaired in time, all the castables in the machine must be cleaned.
