Ladle Slide Gate Plate Introduction:
Alumina-carbon slide gate plate is preferred products for big/medium ladle and continuous casting tundish. Alumina-carbon slide gate plates can meet the requirement of different steel grades.

According to different conditions of use, choose the corresponding material of the slide gate plate, which can increase the service life of the slide gate plate and reduce the cost of refractory materials.

The sealing protection of the ladle sliding nozzle is mainly at the connection between the upper nozzle and the upper slide, and the lower slide and the lower nozzle.

What is Slide Gate Plate?
Slide Gate Plate Refractories are installed on the ladle's bottom for regulating the flow of liquid steel from Ladle to Tundish. These are special refractories and should be treated with caution. 

What is the composition of the Slide Gate Plate?
In general, the refractory raw materials used in the sliding plate are high Al2O3 and MgO based materials. The addition of carbon brings in high thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion and non-wettable properties to Al2O3-C.

Slide Gate Refractory:
Slide gate plate refractories are utilized in ladles and tundishes where they are subjected to thermal stress and physical abrasion from molten metal and slag. As a result, the slide gate plate must be resistant to thermal shock as well as corrosion.
