Light Calcined Magnesia Ball Introdution:
Light calcined magnesia ball is mainly used as a slag composition regulator for converter slag splashing.Light calcined magnesia ball is made from extra light calcined magnesia and mixing with additive agent, then made into ball with ball press machine or balling pan. After added to converter final slag and light calcined magnesia ball will has reaction very fast, thus to adjust slag content and made main content into high melting point MgO, C2S and C3S. What’s more, light calcined magnesia ball also can adjust furnace slag dynamic viscosity and high refractoriness, thus improve performance of slag-sp lashing. Light Calcined Magnesia Ball Speciality:
The light burnt magnesia ball is made by using ordinary light burned magnesia powder and pressing the ball after mixing. Light-burned magnesia balls are mainly used for converter steelmaking and slag splashing to protect the furnace, which can improve the life of the converter. The preparation of light-burned magnesia ball is to add 80% light-burned magnesia powder to 20% water, put it into a milling machine for rolling, stirring, and mixing for 15 to 20 minutes to form a mixture, and then send it to the ball press through a belt conveyor to prepare the product , And then stacked. The light-burned magnesia ball is ready for sale after being dried in the shade for 48 hours and forming strength.

The light-burned magnesia ball is used as the slag protection component regulator of the converter slag splash protection. Because the slag splashing protection requires the slag to have suitable viscosity and refractoriness, a reasonable slag composition is the key to implementing slag splash protection. The general slag can not be directly splashed to protect the furnace, and a certain amount of magnesium oxide ball needs to be added for adjustment, while replacing the use of dolomite, reducing the amount of slag and increasing the content of MgO in the slag.
