Mullite Insulating Brick Introduction:
Mullite insulating bricks adopt high purity raw materials and unique production process, to avoid the impact of impurities and structural defects on the performance of products to the greatest extent. Can be used in metallurgy, machinery, ceramics, chemical industry and other industries furnace lining (Mullite insulating bricks is not corroded by molten liquid) and insulation layer, is an ideal energy-saving products.

The thermal insulation bricks can be divided into the following types:

1) Fireclay insulation brick GB/T 3994-2005

2) High alumina thermal insulation brick

3) Mulite insulation brick

The principles of choosing insulation bricks include:

1) It should not affect the service life of the entire refractory masonry;

2) For high temperature furnaces that work continuously, generally a large area of heat preservation is reasonable, which can reduce heat loss. However, for some special areas, such as open hearth roofs, insulation can reduce service life. For periodic duty furnaces, regenerative heat loss is the main factor in heat loss. Insulation can increase the temperature of the masonry and increase regenerative heat losses. Therefore, whether the furnace should be insulated for regular work should be determined after calculating the heat storage and heat loss.

3) Due to the high porosity of insulating bricks, they cannot withstand excessive loads and should not directly contact molten metal, slag and high temperature dust.

4) Insulation bricks have low strength. Brick joints and expansion joints should be disposed of properly to avoid damage due to volume expansion. Thermal insulation refractory bricks should not be subjected to strong mechanical vibration, shock and friction;

5) Since the thermal insulation brick has a large linear shrinkage on reheating, the maximum working temperature should be less than 100°C than the firing temperature.

Mullite Insulating Brick Advantages:

Mullite insulating brick has excellent high temperature volume stability and thermal shock stability with high strength, low thermal conductivity, good chemical stability and high temperature resistant structure uniform appearance and so on.What’s more,mullite insulatng brick has wide adaptability to various furnace types and environments.
